We should be honest: most packets of our freeze-dried strawberries never make it into a recipe — they get eaten like chips on the drive home. But if you can hold a packet back, here are ten of our favourite uses.
- Crushed over pavlova or cheesecake — intense flavour, no sogginess, and the pink dust looks spectacular on cream.
- Stirred into porridge or overnight oats — they soften back into jammy strawberry pieces as they sit.
- Blitzed into strawberry powder — a natural food colouring and flavour boost for icing, macarons and buttercream.
- Through your cereal or granola — homemade "special K" without the price tag.
- Folded into muffin or pancake batter — unlike frozen berries they do not bleed or sink.
- In the school lunchbox — school-safe, mess-free, and counts as real fruit because it is real fruit.
- Melted into white chocolate — strawberry bark that tastes like a premium chocolatier made it.
- As a smoothie booster — flavour without watering it down (they thicken it slightly too).
- On the trail — 20g in your pocket is 200g of strawberries that cannot bruise.
- In a glass of bubbles — they fizz gently and release colour like a slow-motion garnish. Excellent for Christmas morning.
One packet, minimum 20 grams, the equivalent of roughly 200 grams of fresh strawberries — 100% Australian-grown, nothing added. Grab a bag here.
