With nearly all the moisture removed, our fruit and veg is shelf-stable at room temperature — so it lives in the pantry, the caravan or the emergency kit instead of the bin.
Freeze-drying removes moisture at low temperature rather than cooking it out, so far more of the original nutrition, colour and flavour survives than with heat-based drying. Usually one ingredient on the label.
Because the water is gone, freeze-dried food weighs next to nothing. Real fruit and veg you can carry all day — hiking, riding, touring or working remote.
We buy direct from Australian growers, rescuing quality produce that would otherwise go to waste, and freeze-dry it locally in small batches. Grown here, not shipped here.
